So a couple of weeks ago on the radio, I asked a simple question where in Dumfries & Galloway serves the best Fish & Chips?
At that point my phone, social media and e-mail inboxes started to go crazy!
Everyone has an opinion, everyone thinks that they go to THE best chippy in the region. I had loads of suggestions so I decided to take the 10 most popular ones and Producer Gary and myself would go to visit these purveyors of fishy goodness, hopefully being able to answer the question after sampling from all finalists.
We created a scorecard, looking at not just the actual fish & chips but batter quality , quality of peas, customer service, value for money and packaging.
10 Weeks, 10 Venues, after everyone has been visited we’ll reveal who will claim the Fish & Chip Tour Trophy 2019.
