A brand new show taking you on a journey through all the hits, clothes and craziness of the 70’s Glam era!
Featuring the cool creators, Bolan and Bowie played by Neil “Tattie” Davidson, the brashness of Slade through to the Glitter pop sensation of the Bay City Rollers, the show delivers all the hits in a West End meets Tribute hybrid explosion!
MC and front man Marshall Ward, performed by former Le Haggis star Grant Dinwoodie, will guide you through the catalogue of hits in his own extroverted fashion, whilst the full live band featuring current Eric Faulkner’s Bay City Rollers, Lee Haggarty, Martin Yeudall and Sandy Sweetman deliver the sounds, headed by Dumfries High School musical legend, MD Stewart Solley.
The show has been developed by Sandy Sweetman, founder member and drummer of GLAMD, the well known Glam tribute band.
“I always wanted to play more with GLAMD in theatre environments but didn’t fully understand what would make a good show” explains Sandy. “Having worked in a Theatre environment since we put GLAMD to bed and experiencing good and bad shows I thought it was time to out it all together and see if it works!”
The shows launch is on Friday 17th November at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries, tickets are priced at £15 and are available from the Theatre Box Office, Mid Steeple and online.
